We hold and process personal data about our clients and prospective clients in order to fulfil our contractual obligations to them. Our professional ethical standards as members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy apply, and this data is held in secure files.

About our counsellors, staff and volunteers

We hold personal information about our counsellors, employees and volunteers in order to fulfil our contractual obligations to them and this information is held in secure files.

• We hold contact details for supporters of Counsel for Life, to whom we send newsletters and other information about the services
• We hold contact details for doctors and other medical professionals to whom we send information about our services so that they are able to refer patients to us if the need should arise
• We hold contact details for church leaders and other professionals to whom we send information about our services so that they are able to make referrals to us if the need should arise

We hold this data securely in our offices and in password protected computers and endeavour to keep it up to date. We seek consent to this processing from our supporters and referrers.
